World Refugee Day: plea to give sanctuary to child refugees

Facing the financial challenge around COVID-19

Britain Yearly Meeting had a successful year financially in 2019, with exceptionally high legacy income and a strong performance from its conference and hospitality business at Friends House. Without legacies BYM's expenditure would have been more than its income. The public health crisis around COVID-19 now means that 2020 income will be significantly reduced.

Meeting houses remain closed
8 June 2020
During the Coronavirus pandemic meeting houses have been closed and Quakers have been meeting online and from their own home. Now the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has announced that from Monday 15 June places of worship in England will be permitted to open for individual prayer in line with social distancing guidelines.
