Upholding peace in Burundi through crises
In the last couple of months, my country has been through a very difficult socio-political period. As peace activists in Burundi we have faced two main challenges: a turbulent political situation and the Covid-19 pandemic.

How are Quakers meeting? A summer snapshot from around Britain
A joy and privilege of my work is spending time in the lives of Quaker meetings. Over the last few months, I've seen Quakers respond creatively, faithfully and lovingly to the challenges presented by Covid-19. This has led to worship happening in ways most of us would scarcely have dreamt of a year ago.

9 voices the Department for Education would ban from schools
Recent Department for Education guidance tells headteachers in England to ensure external organisations, speakers and resources do not take "extremist" stances. These include a stated desire to abolish capitalism and "a failure to condemn illegal activities done in support of their cause". What the world needs from COP26
The UN climate talks in Glasgow are reaching a crucial point, with negotiations due to finish on Friday (though they may run on into the weekend). We have seen an incredible coming together of movements in Glasgow and around the world to call for climate justice at COP26.

Love and giving – the will to nurture life
Love and fundraising don't seem like natural bedfellows to most of us. But on the front of our latest contributions leaflet, we quote from Quaker faith & practice 22.42 “Love is the will to nurture life and growth in oneself and in another". Without the love that prompts individuals, meetings and funders to make gifts of money and time, national Quaker work simply could not function, particularly in what has been another challenging year.
