Training in your setting

We can provide training in your setting. Peace education is increasingly recognised as key for teachers' development. Whether empowering students with skills like conflict resolution, creating a culture of peace and nonviolence in the classroom, or engaging with global themes like climate justice or war, peace education is also crucial for children's rights and learning.

Drawing on the principles laid out in Peace at the heart: a relational approach to education in British Schools, multiple classroom resources, and decades of delivering and supporting peace education in schools, Quakers in Britain can support Initial Teacher Education and Continuing Professional Development with training appropriate to phase and curriculum area. This could introduce the overall peace education field, a theme such as interpersonal peace or global citizenship, or how to explore a specific topic such as a contemporary armed conflict.

As Quakers in Britain is a charity, this training can be offered without charge, though contributions to expenses are welcome.
