The Quaker 'book of discipline'

Like many churches, Quakers have a 'book of discipline'. Such books outlines beliefs, standards, constitution and practices. The current one for Quakers in Britain is called Quaker faith & practice.

It has been described as “expressing the 'soul' of the Quakers". It offers spiritual insights as well as practical advice and help on a wide range of subjects. So Quakers might refer to it when facing a personal issue, during worship, or while running a church meeting.

Advices & queries

The first chapter of Quaker faith & practice is Advices & queries, which is also available as a separate, pocket-sized booklet. This is a great place to start and is a short introduction to Quaker thought.
