Church leaders from the United Reformed Church, Church of Scotland, Quakers in Britain, Methodist Church, Church of England and Catholic Church have called on the UK government to help deter annexation of the West Bank, which could begin from 1 July:

Quakers across Britain are appalled by the violent death of George Floyd in Minnesota and the protesters around the United States being treated violently by the authorities. In a letter of solidarity they say root causes of those events also manifest themselves in the UK.

Britain Yearly Meeting had a successful year financially in 2019, with exceptionally high legacy income and a strong performance from its conference and hospitality business at Friends House. Without legacies BYM's expenditure would have been more than its income. The public health crisis around COVID-19 now means that 2020 income will be significantly reduced.
