QLCC 26 Feb 2026

Quaker Life Central Committee (QLCC) met on 26 February. It endorsed a new strategy for supporting Quaker Communities to thrive.

What is this committee responsible for?

QLCC guides all Quaker work to support Quaker communities to grow, thrive and be inclusive.

What did it do at this meeting?

The Committee nominated QLCC representatives to attend Junior Yearly Meeting this year and the new Programmes & Prioritisation Committee which will have its first meeting in March.

Most of the meeting was spent discussing a new strategy – Approaches for the Future – Faith, Inclusion and Growth: The integrated strategy for supporting Quaker communities to thrive (2026-2030). This sets out how Quaker communities will be supported to thrive, though the centrally managed work of Quakers in Britain and Woodbrooke. It replaces the Integrated Strategy for Supporting Quaker Communities 2020-2025, and its overriding vision is informed by 'Our Faith in the Future'. The Committee approved the strategy, which will now be considered by Woodbrooke Trustees before staff develop workplans on how to implement it.
