Junior Yearly Meeting 2027

Get ready to nominate for Junior Yearly Meeting

Who could your area meeting nominate to attend JYM?

Junior Yearly Meeting 2027 will bring young Quakers together at the University of Hull from 24–28 July, alongside Yearly Meeting Gathering. It is a valuable opportunity for young people to explore Quaker faith, worship, community and decision-making, with this year's theme including the new Book of Discipline.

Area meetings are asked to identify and appoint young people born between 1 September 2008 and 31 August 2011. Please think widely, including young people who are connected to Quakers through families, grandparents or youth activities, and be active in approaching those who might not otherwise put themselves forward. Once participants have agreed, the area meeting should minute the appointments and send in the nomination using the online form by 15 March 2027: https://ycf.quaker.org.uk/jym-nomination-form/

Further information will be sent directly to AM clerks, and you can find out more about Junior Yearly Meeting on the website.

(You might not be part of the children and young people's committee or involved in nominations, but if you know of young Quakers who could benefit from attending Junior Yearly Meeting please be proactive and let the right people in your area meeting know about it!)
