APC 20-22 June 2025
The Agenda Planning Committee for Yearly Meeting from 2026 onwards had its first meeting and considered its vision for Yearly Meetings.
What is this committee responsible for?
This new committee will be responsible for delivering the agenda for Yearly Meetings from July 2026 onwards, when we will move to a new system of having four Yearly Meeting sessions per year. This change was agreed at Yearly Meeting in 2024 after a lengthy consultation and discernment process. As part of the same process, Meeting for Sufferings will be laid down.
What did it do at this meeting?
This was APC's first meeting. Members of the committee spent time connecting with each other, sharing their experience, building their vision, considering what we already know about the Yearly Meeting agenda in future years, and thinking about how all-age participation and integration in Yearly Meeting sessions can be "baked in" from the start.
How can I find out more?
APC wants to work openly, so that Friends know what to expect when we move to the new approach to Yearly Meeting, so you'll hear more from them soon!
