Quaker Social Action to move into Friends House
Anti-poverty charity Quaker Social Action (QSA) is to become a new tenant at Friends House, the London home of Quakers in Britain.
Paul Parker, recording clerk of Quakers in Britain, said QSA "draws on their long Quaker history and their strong anti-poverty work in communities to make a real difference to issues we all care about."
He added: "We have much to learn from each other and share a vision of a world in which Quakers' testimony of equality can become a reality."
QSA will be taking over space on the third floor of Friends House from mid to late-September.
Judith Moran, QSA's director, called Friends House "a warm, welcoming and accessible space that reflects those inclusive values that lie at the heart of QSA's work."
She said: “Co-locating with Quakers in Britain creates opportunities to grow our relationship, learn from one another and work together where our values and ambitions align," adding: "We've already begun that journey and look forward to seeing it grow."
Moran said being based in Camden "connects us with a thriving voluntary sector, opening the door to new partnerships that will strengthen our work and extend our reach."
She described the move as "the beginning of a new chapter" for QSA.
