Postbox topper delivers first-class message

Crafty Quakers in Harrogate have excelled themselves with their latest postbox topper.

Last year, members of Harrogate Local Meeting's Arts and Crafts Group made a big impact when they created a topper to mark George Fox's 400th birthday. They enjoyed themselves so much they decided to do it all over again.

This year, to mark Quaker Week, the talented Yorkshire team has created a beautiful piece that has caught the eye of everyone who has passed by. The theme of Love Your Neighbour has been particularly significant with immigration, asylum and the plight of displaced people continuing to dominate the news headlines.

We know Harrogate isn't the only meeting using their knitting and crocheting talents to reach out to the wider community. If you'd like to share some of your designs and creations please consider uploading them to the Quaker Space Facebook page or if you'd like to consider starting your own postbox topper group, get in touch with your local development worker for ideas.
