​Aloys Ningabira

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our colleague, Aloys Ningabira.

Aloys was a Quaker and manager of a peacebuilding and nonviolence programmes called Turning the Tide (TTT) Burundi. Turning the Tide Burundi was established in 2015 by Burundian Quakers and is part of a close partnership with Turning the Tide programmes in Kenya and Rwanda and with Quakers in Britain.

Aloys lived a life rooted in his Quaker faith and a deep belief in a loving God. He worked tirelessly for peace and justice. We note the words that Aloys always shared whenever anyone was feeling discouraged, "Keep courage, keep on".
