Simmons Grants are for overseas projects to help rural young people become self-sufficient. QPSW Relief Grants are for projects relieving suffering caused by natural disasters, climate change, war or conflict.
A small number of grants in the region of £1,000 to £1,500 are made annually to projects that work to enable rural young people overseas to live self-sufficiently.
Requests for grants should come from the organisation managing the project, with evidence of active Quaker support. The organisation need not be Quaker-run, but projects supported should operate within appropriate principles including financial and environmental sustainability.

We make grants to projects relieving suffering of those affected by natural disasters, climate change, war or conflict through the Quaker Peace & Social Witness (QPSW) relief grants.
Are you involved with a project or programme working in this way but not for immediate crisis relief? Quaker Peace & Social Witness relief grants may be able to offer you financial support.
All projects applying must be for peacebuilding or for relief of people who are suffering as a result of natural disasters, climate change, war, conflict or social and economic deprivation, but not for immediate crisis relief.
Each project must have a Britain Yearly Meeting Quaker link (person or group) and the application should come from the concern of Friends, supported at least through their local meetings. Projects need not be Quaker led.
Annual grants will usually be for up to £4,000 per project and a maximum of two years' funding is available. Existing as well as new projects may be supported and these grants may cover only part of the total funding required.
Meeting the criteria given in the guidelines is a necessary condition for consideration by Grants Group, not a guarantee of funding.
