Representatives of seven Christian denominations – including Quakers in Britain ─ have written an open letter to the new Prime Minister expressing concern that failing to agree a deal on Brexit will “hit those held back by poverty very hard indeed".

In response Quakers in Britain are restating their 2014 call to the UK government to honour its commitment to the two-state solution and recognise the state of Palestine without delay.

But Parliament has not agreed the best way forward. Tonight, an online Europe-wide dispersed meeting for worship will mark the moment Brexit was expected to take place (midnight Brussels time).
