Mass lobby urges action on climate

More than 100 Quakers from England, Scotland and Wales came to Westminster today to take part in The Time is Now, a mass lobby of parliament urging MPs to take action on climate crisis and environmental breakdown. Faith representatives ─ including a former archbishop and a young Quaker ─ addressed the gathering.

Brexit needs cooperation not conflict

Amid political disarray and confusion, Quakers, among many others, are turning to quiet reflection. Today (Friday) should have been the day that the UK left the European Union. But Parliament has not agreed the best way forward. Tonight, an online Europe-wide dispersed meeting for worship will mark the moment Brexit was expected to take place (midnight Brussels time).

Key Quaker appointment

He will succeed Helen Drewery who leaves the post in the spring after more than thirty years working for Britain Yearly Meeting.

Quakers will not profit from the occupation of Palestine
