Wednesday (1st of month) 7.30-8pm & Friday (1st & 3rd of month) 12.30-1pm. Our 16 bed bunkbarn can be hired out to groups and families, and includes 12 acres of ancient woodland 'Quakers' Wood'. See our website for events: rookhow.org.uk

Children are always welcome. Local Quaker family weekends take place here 3 times a year.

How to find us
By train & bike. 9 miles from Ulverston train station, 9 miles from Cark station or 13 miles from Grange-over-Sands. By car: From M6 Junction 36: Follow A590, signs for Barrow. Leave A590 at Greenodd (A5092) junction and follow sign for Workington for 0.5 mile. Take minor road to right signed Colton / Oxen Park. Continue through Oxen Park. After 2 miles Rookhow is on the left (there's a quicker way coming off at Newby Bridge but the roads are narrower and windy!). From Ambleside: to Hawkshead, then to Grizedale. Continue beyond Grizedale for 3.5 miles (Satterthwaite â Ulverston Road). Rookhow is on the right.
