Fox Fell 400

Woodbrooke courses
Woodbrooke is an international Quaker learning and research organisation. To celebrate the anniversary, it's running a range of courses and sessions to explore the legacy and influence of George Fox on the Quaker movement today. Visit Swarthmoor Hall
Swarthmoor Hall is one of the most important locations in Quaker history. You can visit the Hall and gardens for a day or stay overnight in B&B or self-catering accommodation. Experience the stillness of the place where early Quakers met, worshipped and organised. Walk the Friends Way
The Friends Way, a walk covering over 100 miles split into two parts, starts in Barley, Lancashire, and ends at Swarthmoor Hall. It combines glorious scenery with superb wildlife and striking geology, and it also visits many places that were crucial in George Fox's journey of 1652. Each route can be completed comfortably inside a week. It is a fabulous way for walkers to experience the landscape of northern England and deepen their understanding of George Fox and early Quakerism.
