Why do Quakers care about Climate?
27 October 2021, Online
The session is for any Quaker, new to Friends or long standing member, who feels unsure about what they can do about the climate crisis and what the Quaker view point on the issue is.
We will be looking back at past Quaker writings and actions, into present day endeavours and ministry from the UK and around the world to help Friends gain a clearer idea of the work being done on our behalf and the work we can do ourselves. Work towards climate justice is integral to Quaker faith and a clear understanding as to why helps to provide the firm spiritual foundations Friends need to undertake this work with hope and resilience.
This panel discussion between Quaker Historians and Quaker activists will serve as an introduction to why Quakers care about climate justice.
