Having more productive Trident conversations: Making the best use of social media

The third of a series of workshop-based training days organised by Christian CND and Quaker Peace & Social Witness to give you the skills you need to communicate with confidence as decision time on Trident fast approaches.

"I don't know enough about it!"

"They believe the papers. How can I show them another side?"

"Is it OK to go one step at a time?"

"How can I show them I respect them when they are so obviously WRONG?"

"How do I even get started?"

Whether you are talking to your neighbour, your boss, your mother-in-law or a group at Church, you need the facts, but you also need to find ways to get on their wavelength, understand their anxieties, deal with any aggression and help them move forward.

Come and practise your communication skills and learn some new tips and techniques at these workshops with: Tim Wallis, Martin Birdseye, Michael and Patricia Pulham

“Speech is God's gift. We shall have to account for it. It is through words we communicate with each other and that we reveal who we are. We haven't the right to remain silent, but speaking is a serious matter, and we must weigh our words in the sight of God." From “I Spoke, Lord" Michel Quoist
