APR 16

Millennials, Gen Z and the Quaker Way

16 - 23 April 2026, Online

Are Millennials and Gen Z really too busy munching on sour dough, avocado sandwiches and watching TikTok to care about spirituality? This course explores what draws younger adults to Quakerism, what might put them off, and how our meetings can remain welcoming spaces for spiritual exploration.

Increasing numbers of 20 to 40-year olds are coming through Quaker doors, but are they finding what they're looking for? Together we will examine some of the key defining characteristics of Millennials (born 1981 – 1996) and Gen Z (1997-2012) and will especially focus on their attitudes towards spirituality and religion.

The course will go onto explore what about Quakerism appeals to these generations, what challenges they encounter, and practical ways our meetings can nurture engagement, curiosity, and a sense of belonging for newcomers.

Live sessions take place on Zoom on Thursdays 16 and 23 April at 19:00-20:30 (UK time).
