Get Your Quaker Studies Book Published

16 - 18 August 2024, Ilkley

You've done some Quaker Studies research – a PhD, MA, local history, or other project – and now you'd like to publish it in a book. We will explore how academic publishing works, consider your options, and provide space for you to work on a proposal.

Close-up of an open book

The goal of this weekend is that you will take the next step in turning your academic research into a book. In order to do this, we'll explore the whole process, hear from a guest speaker from an academic press, and give you space to work on your project. For many people, a key step will be the development and polishing of a book proposal for submission to a publisher.

Bring your laptop and notebook, and join a community of researchers all at a similar stage in the process to share experience and support each other. You will get feedback on your work from the course tutor and have the opportunity to learn from your peers.

The course begins on Friday with the evening meal and ends with lunch on Sunday.
