JUL 1

In Fox's Footsteps: 1652 Quaker Pilgrimage

1 - 5 July 2019, Ulverston

The pilgrimages visit most of the early Quaker sites and allow individuals, couples or groups of Friends to become part of a pilgrimage and worshipping group

A guided, residential event for anyone who wants to learn about the early history of Quakerism and how it relates to faith today. There will be the opportunity to climb Pendle Hill, with a Meeting for Worship at the top. There are visits to Brigflatts, Firbank Fell, and the Quaker tapestry; Lancaster Jail and Sunbrick Burial Ground; Swarthmoor Meeting House and, of course, a tour of Swarthmoor Hall itself. A minibus or small coach is used to travel to the different sites and each pilgrimage has an experienced guide. £550 ensuite, £490 per person for two sharing a room. Full board in ensuite accommodation. £284 non-residential.
