Exploring Threshing and Clearness

27 February 2025, Online

How can threshing, clearness, and other methods help Quakers make good decisions, even in difficult situations? This course will help you understand these processes and think about how to apply them.

Quakers approach decision-making differently than many other groups. This session will help Friends define and explore threshing, clearness, and other concepts and practices available to us as part of a whole group, as well as during our time spent in breakout rooms.

This session is not just for those new to the Religious Society of Friends; it is valuable for both seasoned Quakers and newcomers to invest time in considering what could be regarded as basic practices. Doing so will help us work together faithfully as a community and be the change we want to see in the world.

This is the second in the recommended series of three offers related to Quaker decision-making processes. The first is 'Exploring Quaker Business Method' in January 2025 and the third is 'How Quakers Make Decisions' in April/May.
