Enjoying their day at Pride, York Quakers handed out 3kg of sweets, Quaker pride stickers and 4 types of Quaker badges, which were very popular.

To offer a quiet space for those needing calm, the Quakers set up a gazebo with cosy blankets and a craft table with the help of a Quaker from a local neurodivergent group.

Sue Clarke from Harrogate meeting, who helped to arrange the Quaker stand, said: We had so many conversations with so many people about Quakers, religion, spirituality, LGBTQ+ experiences and Quaker weddings. It was busy from 10.30am to 6.30pm. We'll definitely be doing it again next year – and we're looking forward to joining the parade next year too."

Quakers from across the country are planning stands and presence at Pride events.
