Understanding Racism Book Group
16 August - 20 September 2023, Online
This online course aims to support Quakers to challenge the idea that as 'good Quakers' we are exempt from deeply rooted racism and begin to unlearn ways of thinking and behaving arising from white supremacy culture.
As a supportive group we will move through reading the book 'Nice Racism' by Robin DiAngelo. This course is designed for beginners in this conversation, so you don't have to have it all worked out before you start.
We will invite sharing and reflection in the online forum between live sessions, and seek to create a brave space for exploration and learning within the live sessions.
