Telling Our Truths About God

18 November - 16 December 2024, Online

Quakers have many names for God, the Light, Love, Ultimate Reality – but what do you call it? This course will be a space for creative reflection on our spiritual experiences, in any form, and a chance to articulate personal understandings of theology.

Bring your whole self into a space of prayerful creativity in this course. We will explore ways the Spirit has been named and described in the Quaker tradition, including in Christocentric, universalist, and nontheist perspectives. We will then take time to respond and add to this tradition with our hearts and hands as well as our heads.

This course is open to everyone and our creativity need not result in artwork as such! If you have an existing practice, you may want to have your materials nearby, whether those are pens, paint, pastels, piano, or anything else. If not, a pencil and paper or blank computer document will be plenty. We will also have discussion time in different groups and opportunities to share our spiritual journeys if we wish.

The live Zoom sessions are at 19:00-20:30 (UK time) every Monday.
