Renewing Quakerism: embracing change with hope

6 August - 10 September 2024, Online

The Religious Society of Friends is changing rapidly, with established ways of being and working together giving way to new paths. This is a chance to survey this scene and to explore courageously and creatively where the Spirit may be leading.

Rather than burying our heads in the sand, this course will encourage us to face this challenging time head on. We will explore how, in the midst of all this change, we can learn from and give rest to the old while embracing the new.

The course will take us on a journey through Joanna Macy's 'Active Hope' cycle, but will also engage with a variety of different frameworks and models, inviting us to explore what it might mean to 'refound' and 'rewild' Quakerism, asking us what important work there is for us to be getting on with here.

The live Zoom sessions are at 19:00-21:00 (UK time) every Tuesday.
