Quaker Roots in Advices and Queries
5 September - 17 October 2023, Online
This course will focus on a number of examples of Advices and Queries that contain references from 17th century Quaker writings. This will include quotations taken from the writings of George Fox, Robert Barclay, and Oliver Cromwell.
By working through this material, you will able to gain a deeper understanding of the early Quaker vision, and consider what this heritage means to you. You will also have the opportunity to reflect on how the Advices and Queries inspire and challenge you in your life as a Quaker today.
The course, which runs over six weeks, will include recorded presentations, questions for reflection, written resources and a discussion forum. We will also meet together in three short live sessions to share our reflections and responses.
The live sessions are at 19:00-20:00 (UK time) on Tuesday 19 September, Tuesday 3 October and Tuesday 17 October
