How can I join Yearly Meeting?
- All Yearly Meeting sessions are blended events and it is possible to attend onsite or online. Some other events, including the preparation sessions and special interest meetings, are held online only. All online events will be held using Zoom video-conferencing software. Friends should be comfortable using a computer and will need a reliable internet connection to join online sessions and events.
What equipment do I need?
- We recommend using a device with a webcam and microphone, as well as a reliable internet connection. You could use a computer, laptop, or tablet. Some smartphones may work but we recommend using a device with a large screen.
How do I join a Zoom meeting?
- You can join a meeting by clicking the “Enter meeting" button in the description of the event on the Yearly Meeting planner (Sched). The button will appear 10 minutes before the session is due to start.
Do you need an account to use Zoom?
- No, you do not need a Zoom account to join a meeting as a participant.
Who can help me with Zoom?
- We encourage Friends to speak with others in their meeting or worshipping community for support in person. Our Yearly Meeting team can be contacted directly for support, please email the team at: ym@quaker.org.uk .
