‘Woke’ Bible Study: God’s radical Inclusion

Looking at key Bible passages, we will consider what radical inclusion can look like in practice in our communities. Is it possible to create an environment where people learn and grow together through their doubts and differences, not in spite of them?
Radical inclusion is God's big, beautiful idea. God draws people from every tribe, nation, sexuality, gender identity, ability, disability, HIV status, class, neurodiversity, socio-economic or educational background, belief or unbelief. Yet, when we try to build communities that reflect this kind of multi-faceted diversity and intersectionality, the truth is, many of us struggle to live it out in practice. What is radical inclusion and does it have limits? How do we build collective, collaborative faith spaces that enable us to learn, try, fail and journey together?
We will reflect together on the pursuit of radical inclusion as a means of mutual discipleship both in the plenary and also in smaller break out groups. We'll engaging particularly with 1 Corinthians 12 and other formative moments in early church communities.
