Becoming Friends

Becoming Friends was developed to help provide the next stage of learning and support for newcomers to Friends after outreach programmes like Quaker Quest and Quaker Week have finished.

First published in 2010, Becoming Friends offers an exciting, interactive learning experience that offers newcomers flexible course materials. Participants can work at their own pace, there are options for working alone and with others, using a variety of approaches, and there is a range of learning units and activities to suit a wide range of interests and learning styles.

Whether you are a newcomer to Quakerism or an experienced Friend, we hope that you find the Becoming Friends learning experience both interesting and enjoyable.

There will be some material to look at before the first session. We will email you around one week prior to the course with information about accessing the course, including this material, on our online learning platform (Moodle).

Live sessions take place every Thursday at 19:00-21:00 (UK time).
