REFUGEE WEEK: Sanctuary in Fiction (Panel)

Refugee Week is the UK's largest festival of arts, education and cultural events to celebrate the contribution of people who have sought sanctuary, and to encourage understanding between communities. This event will discuss the role that novelists can play in building a culture of hospitality.

Seeking sanctuary in fiction
Novelists Sita Brahmachari (Red Leaves), Jason Donald (Dalila), Tim Finch (House of Journalists) and Roma Tearne (The Swimmer) will discuss the representation of immigration in fiction.

The event will include a book-signing.

About Friends House
Friends House is the central offices of Quakers in Britain, and a popular meeting place for people working for progressive change. It has a Fairtrade café, bookshop, library and prayer room/worship space.
