March for Climate, Justice and Jobs
29 November 2015, London
Join Quakers on the People's March for Climate, Justice and Jobs on the eve of the international climate summit in Paris.
We'll march with thousands of others across the world to demand justice for the Earth, its people and all of its species, and to show the strength of our commitment to tackling climate change.
In London, the Quaker bloc will meet at 12:00 outside the speakers' corner café, just south of Speakers' Corner in Hyde Park. Look out for the Quaker banner when you arrive! The nearest tube station is Marble Arch (around a 5 minute walk).
Please note the meeting point is not shown by the pointer on the map to the right. The meeting point is just below speakers corner on the map.
We will hold a short Meeting for Worship before joining the march on Park Lane at 12:45, to march from 1pm. The march will finish at Millbank, just south of Parliament, where there will be a rally from 14:45 – 15:45. Westminster Meeting House on St Martin's Lane will then be open from 14:30 onwards to offer tea and coffee to marchers.
Please sign up using the form below so we can send you more details over the next two weeks, including on other Quaker and interfaith activities happening on the day.
We would also love to support Quakers marching in other cities, so let us know where you'll be and we'll do our best to help organise a Quaker meet point in your city.
