Accommodation

There are four types of accommodation available, each of which has half board (breakfast and evening meal) and self-catering options. Most of the accommodation blocks are located close to the buildings we will use for eating and community activities.

Single en suite rooms

Some are in flats of eight bedrooms with a limited number of twin rooms. Some are in corridor style accommodation. We have arranged for one block to be a little further away from the centre of the campus for those Friends who prefer a quieter environment. The walk from this block to the centre will take about 12 minutes.

Single semi-en suite rooms

Corridor style accommodation divided into pairs. Each pair shares a bathroom and has its own front door.

Single standard rooms

Some are in flats of various sizes where approximately 4 people share a bathroom. Some are in corridor style accommodation where approximately 6 people share a bathroom. Please note this type of accommodation has no lifts.

Budget standard rooms

These are in flats within an older accommodation block. There are 12 rooms per flat with 2 bathrooms and one shower in each. This accommodation isn't suited to those with mobility difficulties or small children as the flats are built on different levels. There is a big step into the shower from the bathroom floor and the kitchen and communal space are separated by a step. Both areas are quite small. Also, there is no lift access to the upper floors.

Children sharing

Children who were born on or after 1 September 2005 can sleep on the floor of a parent or sibling's room. We will provide a camping mat and sleeping bag to those who can't bring their own.

Camping and caravans

For those who wish to camp or stay in a caravan, there will be a campsite on campus with a minimum of 30 pitches. Depending on the size of each pitch, this number may increase. Fires or open BBQs are not permitted. Vehicle access is limited by size and weight, but we anticipate that a regular sized mobile home or caravan and car will fit. Vehicles will be able to access the site for set-up, then park in nearby car parks. The site will have toilets, showers and a cold water supply. Please check our website for further details as they become available.

Day visitors

If you are planning to attend on one or more days and don't need accommodation, you will still need to book. Some places have been reserved on the Children's and Young People's programmes but these must be booked by 30 April 2017.
