Friends may choose to stay in campus accommodation, camp or attend as day visitors.

There are four types of accommodation available. Each has half board (breakfast and evening meal) and self-catering options. Most of the accommodation is located close to the buildings we will use for eating and community activities.

Single en suite rooms

Some are in flats of eight bedrooms. A small number of flats contain twin rooms. Some of these rooms are in corridor style accommodation. We have arranged to use one block which a little further away from the centre of the campus. This is for those Friends who prefer a quieter environment. The walk from this block to the centre will take about 12 minutes.

Single semi-en suite rooms

Corridor style accommodation divided into pairs. Each pair shares a bathroom, but has its own front door.

Single standard rooms

Some are in flats of various sizes where approximately four people share a bathroom. Some are in corridor style accommodation where approximately six people share a bathroom. Please note that this type of accommodation has no lifts.

Budget standard rooms

These are in flats within an older accommodation block. There are 12 rooms per flat with two bathrooms and one shower in each. This accommodation isn't suited to those with mobility difficulties or small children. These flats are built on different levels. There is a big step into the shower. The kitchen and communal space are separated by a step and are both quite small. There is no lift access to the upper floors.

Half board and self-catering

  • For guests staying on a half board basis, a self-service breakfast and a two-course self-service evening meal are included each day. These will be served in Rootes Building.
  • For guests staying on a self-catered basis, approximately 8-12 people will share a kitchen. Included in the kitchen will be a cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster and kettle. The kitchen will also include:
  • 2 glass jugs
    1 serving bowl
    1 frying pan
    3 saucepans (different sizes)
    2 baking trays
    1 sieve
    1 large chef knife
    1 medium chef knife
    1 vegetable knife
    1 vegetable peeler
    1 whisk
    2 large spoons
1 set of salt and pepper
    (Each) Unipurpose bowl – (Cereal/soup/dessert)
    (Each) dinner plate
    (Each) side plate
(Each) knife, fork, spoon & teaspoon
    (Each) mug
    (Each) wine glass

Children sharing

Children (up to 11) can sleep on the floor of a parent or sibling's room. We can provide a camping mat and sleeping bag if needed.

Camping and caravans

For those who wish to camp or stay in a caravan, there will be a campsite on campus with a minimum of 30 pitches. Depending on the size of each pitch, this number may increase. Fires or open BBQs are not permitted. Vehicle access is limited by size and weight, but we anticipate that a regular sized mobile home or caravan and car will fit. Vehicles will be able to access the site for set-up, then park in nearby car parks. The site will have toilets, showers and a cold water supply. Please check our website [where?] for further details as they become available.

Car parking

Car parking is free if you book it in advance. Please visit the parking registration page on the University of Warwick website. If you need help with this please contact University staff: or 024 7657 4999.

Day visitors

If you are planning to attend on one or more days and don't need accommodation, you will still need to book a place at the gathering.
