Friends shouldn't be put off coming to Yearly Meeting because they can't afford it. Find out how to get help, or donate to the fund.

If you need help with costs for Yearly Meeting please speak to Friends in your meeting or worship group. Meetings can often help. If your meeting can't cover all the costs then you can ask for help from the bursary fund. The money can cover any costs that would prevent you from attending.

You will need to:

  • tick the box on the booking form indicating you wish to apply for a bursary
  • fill in a form and say why you are asking for help from the fund
  • have the form signed by someone in your meeting or worship group who has a duty of pastoral care.

To request a form, please contact Ann Pfeiffer, telephone 020 7663 1053 or email grants@quaker.org.uk.

To donate to the fund

Send a cheque made payable to Britain Yearly Meeting, to C2019, FREEPOST QUAKERS and include "BYM Bursaries" and your name and address on the back of your cheque.

The link will take you to our secure payment page, which is managed by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) on behalf of Britain Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends.

As this page is managed by a third party, it would be very helpful if you would alert us to your donation by emailing Maisa Monteiro at contributions@quaker.org.uk

  • Make a bank transfer to our bank account:

If you'd like to make a donation directly into our bank account please call us on 020 7663 1015. We will provide you with a reference number and details to use for a bank transfer or BACS payment. We will also take your details so that we can send you an acknowledgement letter.

Your donation will only be used to help Friends to attend Yearly Meeting.
